Environmental Technician

Typical Office Day
Our office duties are generally geared toward preparing for upcoming travel, projects, and assignments. We keep ourselves busy by completing documentation and project notes, compiling data, and preparing reports.

Typical Field Day
We safely complete operations and maintenance activities at a variety of sites and locations. This includes interaction with other technicians, clients, project managers, and other staff. Other duties include maintaining groundwater remediation systems; sampling water, soil, and air; gauging fluid-levels; performing manual hydrocarbon recovery; overseeing sub-contractors; and collecting and entering data. We use a variety of tools and knowledge to troubleshoot issues related to electrical and mechanical components of remediation systems.

Safety awareness and training are of utmost importance, and we are responsible for conducting and reviewing safety materials before beginning work on a project.

Travel
Depending on the position, we travel 50-90% of the time.

College Education
As technicians, we are not required to have a college education.
