Trihydro was contracted to assist an active refinery with developing strategies to comply with the pending BWON regulation. Trihydro’s assistance included sampling numerous waste and product streams, design and monitoring of emission control devices, and the development and implementation of a BWON inspection program.
Additional services that Trihydro has provided to the refinery include:
- BWON and NSPS inspection program development and implementation
- Routine BWON sampling
- LDAR applicability determinations
- Emissions control device monitoring and change out (carbon canisters)
- Wastewater treatment monitoring
- Consent Decree compliance assistance
- Production and implementation of a comprehensive BWON compliance program
- Annual and monthly BWON reporting and TAB tracking
- Development of standard operating procedures for BWON control equipment
Trihydro currently employs two environmental technicians and one field supervisor who are based at the refinery. Their responsibilities include BWON and NSPS inspections, BWON and Consent Decree sampling, carbon canister monitoring and management, and groundwater monitoring.
