Trihydro Named One of America's Safest Companies for 2009 by EHS Today
(LARAMIE, WYOMING) --- October, 2009 --- EHS Today, The Magazine for Environment, Health and Safety Leaders (http://ehstoday.com/), has named Trihydro Corporation (Trihydro) one of America’s Safest Companies for 2009.
Trihydro, an engineering, environmental, and information technology firm, focuses on instilling a safety-conscious culture that spans from its Wyoming-based headquarters to offices across the country. “Watching out for each other and employing safe work practices on our tasks helps employees go home healthy each night and reinforces our safety culture …which is, and will continue to be, a key part of Trihydro’s success,” states Jack Bedessem, Trihydro President and CEO.
America’s Safest Companies, founded in 2002, is a corporate award honoring the safest companies in the United States. Since 2002, a total of 108 companies have demonstrated their commitment to employee safety and health, environmental management, and risk control and have been honored as America’s safest.
To be considered one of America’s Safest Companies, organizations must demonstrate management support and employee involvement; innovative solutions to safety challenges; injury and illness rates lower than industry averages; comprehensive training programs; evidence that prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process; positive communication about the value of safety; and a way to substantiate the benefits of the safety process.
Alongside Trihydro, this year’s list of America’s Safest Companies includes AMEC Earth & Environmental Inc., Medtronic Inc., Morin Actuator, Rinker Materials Concrete Pipe Division, RQ Construction Inc., Trendmaker Homes, and Wood Group Power Plant Services. Trihydro and the other America’s Safest Companies will be recognized at a reception on October 26 in Orlando, FL.
