Water and Natural Resources
The well being of our nation depends on sustainable supplies of both energy and water. Trihydro offers a diverse array of water and natural resource services throughout the United States and we have assisted clients through multiple project phases, including site investigations, permitting, sampling, reclamation, design, construction, and compliance. The emphasis of our water resources practice is in the identification, planning and development of water resources, including permitting and water rights consulting. Our technical expertise encompasses surface water and groundwater resource development. Trihydro has the capacity to address all aspects of both small and large water resource projects, and has successfully completed projects to identify, test, permit, and develop water supplies in the western US for both commercial and municipal entities. In addition, we have completed successful storage projects that serve a variety of purposes, including reservoir supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, flood control, recreation, and stock and wildlife watering. As our nation’s water resources become more depleted, especially in the western states, planning and permitting (with respect to both environmental concerns and water rights) involve very complex and nuanced issues that require sound engineering judgment and an in-depth understanding of the federal and state regulatory framework controlling resource development. Our senior staff includes acknowledged experts in this demanding field with diverse experience in the science, engineering practice and laws that govern the appropriation of water, perhaps the most undervalued of our natural resources.
Additional natural resources services provided by Trihydro include wetland delineation, site reclamation, and revegetation projects. Our project experience includes reclamation of disturbed lands associated with operating and closed mines, energy exploration and productions sites, and refineries.
