The Groundwater Environmental Managers Tool

In an effort to address the business needs of Class I through Class V Underground Injection Control operations, Trihydro Corporation has developed the Groundwater Environmental Management tool (GEM). GEM is a web-based tool that allows operators, consultants, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), laboratories, and the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality to apply for permits and monitor many aspects of permit compliance and groundwater-related operations.

  • Conveniently process permit applications and reports faster
GEM reduces paperwork and duplicate data entry, yet, provides real-time reports for compliance requirements such as monitoring, violations, and mechanical integrity tests.
  • Easily check on permit status
Operators and consultants can view permit status and receive notifications over the Internet.
  • Save time while reducing paperwork and data entry errors
GEM provides easy electronic data deliverable checking and data loading.
  • Easily control unauthorized access while providing single sign-on
GEM features a group, individual and role-based password protection system.
  • Visually interpret data through Geographic Information System (GIS), maps, charts, and graphs
Maps, including Area of Review, are easily generated with the click of a couple of buttons using GEM. GEM also allows the user to review data in chart or graph formats to provide a visual representation to help make critical decisions.
  • Use natural language query to retrieve information
GEM’s reporting suite allows for ad-hoc report building or pre-defined reports available for on-demand use. Natural Language Query utilizing the Semantra Semantic Enterprise Platform (SEP) allows the user to retrieve answers quickly, using natural language instead of programming language. Access to decision-making information has never been easier. Output can be generated using a host of formats, which includes PDF, HTML, Excel, SQL, and others.
  • Conveniently exchange data with the national EPA Central Data Exchange
GEM follows EPA-approved data standards and integrates data to the EPA National UIC Database.
  • Utilize GEM’s innovative solution
GEM is continuously developed and improved under Agile project management methodologies and uses some of the most powerful, industry-leading technologies, including the SEP, Microsoft .NET 2.0, Microsoft SQL Server, ESRI GIS tools, and Dundas Charting and Graphing Tools. GEM features a robust relational data model capable of handling other groundwater program requirements.
