Trihydro is a Founding Reporter of The Climate Registry
Industry Leader Takes Action on Climate Change

(WASHINGTON, DC)-- Trihydro Corporation (Trihydro) has become a Founding Reporter of The Climate Registry by being among the first to join. The Climate Registry is a non-profit organization established to measure and publicly report greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in a common, accurate and transparent manner consistent across industry sectors and borders. Thirty nine U.S. states, five Canadian provinces, three Native American tribes, two Mexican states and the District of Columbia are the founders of the organization.

“Trihydro has demonstrated exemplary environmental leadership by courageously stepping forward to support The Climate Registry in its preliminary stages. We are deeply grateful for their integral support in helping to address the challenge of climate change,” said Gina McCarthy, Chair of The Climate Registry.

A leader in the engineering and environmental consulting industry, Trihydro has demonstrated environmental stewardship on several fronts by voluntarily committing to measure, independently verify, and publicly report their GHG emissions on an annual basis utilizing The Climate Registry General Reporting Protocol. The protocol is based on the internationally recognized GHG measurement standards of the World Resources Institute and World Business Council on Sustainability.

Trihydro was established in 1984 in Laramie , Wyoming and specializes in engineering and environmental services. The firm has staff resources in 22 states and 245 employees. To date, Trihydro is the only Wyoming-based organization to become a Founding Reporter of the Climate Registry. “As an environmental firm, Trihydro has been proactively implementing sustainable practices into our business and services for over 20 years. The Climate Registry is a wonderful opportunity that allows us raise the bar and continue to demonstrate environmental leadership to our clients and employees,” stated Jack Bedessem, President of Trihydro. “We are proud to be a Founding Reporter of the Climate Registry.”

"I am very pleased that one of Wyoming 's leading environmental and engineering firms has decided to become a Founding Member of the Climate Registry,” said John Corra, Director of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality. “It does not surprise me that Trihydro, with their energy efficient headquarters building in Laramie , would set such an example by voluntarily participating in the organization."

Entities that join before May, 2008 are eligible to receive Founding Reporter status.
