Trihydro honored for Outstanding Efforts to Prevent Impaired Driving.

(LARAMIE, WYOMING)-- The State of Wyoming 's Governor's Council on Impaired Driving provides a forum for research, discussion, and planning to reduce the incidence of impaired driving in Wyoming . Each year the Council hosts their annual conference which highlights issues related to impaired driving, current initiatives, and potential solutions. The conference focuses on exploring ways to improve highway safety by preventing impaired driving crashes, deaths, and injuries on Wyoming highways.

On May 2, 2007 at the annual conference, Trihydro was presented an award by Governor Dave Freudenthal for our Outstanding Efforts to Prevent Impaired Driving in the area of Business Leadership. Trihydro was honored for a new program that was established in 2006. The program states that any Trihydro employee who is, at any time, unfit or unable to drive a company or personal vehicle due to alcohol consumption may hire a taxi or contact their supervisor, a member of Trihydro's management team, or the Health and Safety Department to arrange for transportation to an appropriate destination. Trihydro will reimburse an employee for the expense or a hired taxi in this situation, whether on business or personal purposes. Furthermore, Trihydro has established a program whereby a person(s) is appointed at each company party to assist with getting anyone home who should not be driving. That person(s) is announced at the beginning of the parties and periodic reminders are issued throughout the event.
