Location: Arlington, Wyoming
Project Overview: Trihydro performed a Phase I site assessment on a large tract of land under consideration by a large utility company for the purpose of constructing and operating a wind farm to generate electricity. The subject property was comprised of approximately eight square miles of largely undeveloped rural land located near Arlington, Wyoming; past and existing land uses included farming, ranching, petroleum exploration, and mining.
The project was performed in accordance with “Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process (ASTM E 1527-93).” Assessment activities included an extensive review and compilation of records regarding the history, uses, and ownership of the property including aerial photography, government land use records, topographic and land-use maps, permits, leases, easements, contracts, licenses, registrations, and other records publicly available through various branches of the local, State, and Federal Governments. In addition, the project included a thorough site visit for direct visual inspection of the entire property and interviews with property owners and government officials concerning land use and events, which could be related to the occurrence of hazardous substances and petroleum products within and adjacent to the subject property. The work product was a comprehensive report to the client formatted and organized in accordance with the ASTME E 1527-93 standard practice.
