Project Overview: Trihydro Northwest staff conducted a multi-media compliance audit of a silicon chip manufacturing facility located in Boise, Idaho. The scope of work included evaluating the environmental management program and waste stream handling and tracking processes, and reporting environmental documentation procedures. Included with the audit was a catastrophic failure analysis for use in evaluating insurance requirements. The audit was conducted by a multi-discipline team, consisting of engineers, hydrologists, geologists, and regulatory and permitting specialists. A detailed report was prepared, which summarized the findings and provided recommendations for modifications to the environmental management program. The results of the audit were substantial cost savings for the manufacturing facility.
