Being newer to Trihydro gives me a different perspective, but the team approach mentality that is obviously engrained in the culture here has undoubtedly helped the company achieve its success and will continue to help it thrive.

I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I was young.  I had interests that spanned the spectrum: I wanted to be a mechanic, chef, scientist, and teacher, and I also loved computers.  I liked figuring out how things worked and/or worked together, which got me in a bit of trouble as a kid, whether it was taking apart the family lawnmower or VCR, or creating “interesting” family meals.

During a high school college recruitment visit I heard about a new Environmental Science degree offered by my alma mater, Slippery Rock University. It included classes in geology, chemistry, and biology along with other core classes that branched into mathematics and safety.  I was intrigued by the chance to explore and learn more about each of these subjects, while also figuring out how they could complement each other in various career paths.

My most rewarding achievement has been helping people find solutions to the problems they face at work.  Whether it's a multimillion-dollar process cost savings for an automotive client or introducing new products that reduce safety concerns for a steel company, each of these successes led to me forming lasting professional and personal relationships that told me I was making a difference in people’s lives.

Now I am here at Trihydro as Operational and Service Excellence Director – where I can apply all the skills I’ve developed in problem solving. The most exciting thing about Trihydro’s future is seeing the planned and methodical growth of the company.  Being new to Trihydro gives me a different perspective, but the team approach mentality that is obviously engrained in the culture here has undoubtedly helped the company achieve its success and will continue to help it thrive.

Outside of work, I enjoy home remodeling projects and spending time outdoors skiing, fishing, biking, and hiking.
