Air Quality Compliance

Air Quality Compliance

Ever-changing air quality compliance and regulations are among the most intricate and demanding environmental requirements that companies face. Since the enactment of the Clean Air Act (CAA) Amendments of 1990, air quality regulatory standards have evolved significantly to reduce harmful air pollutants, including sulfur dioxide (SO₂), nitrogen oxides (NOₓ), carbon monoxide (CO), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), particulate matter such as PM10 and PM2.5, and greenhouse gases (GHGs). Since 1992, Trihydro has been a trusted partner in air quality compliance, supporting our clients from various industries.

Assessment and Remediation

Assessment and Remediation

Trihydro’s experience managing environmental assessment and remediation projects dates back to 1984 and includes work on some of the nation’s most complex remediation sites. We guide clients through the entire environmental remediation lifecycle from initial strategy development and design to system implementation and site closure. Our expertise addresses potential concerns across various media, including soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, and air/vapor at diverse sites with legacy environmental issues. Trihydro’s team of experienced engineers, geologists, and scientists uses our knowledge of federal and state-specific regulations to design and implement practical environmental remediation solutions.

Legacy Site Management

Legacy Site Management

With over 40 years of experience, Trihydro is a trusted partner in managing legacy industrial, refinery, and mine sites, guiding our clients through every phase of the remediation lifecycle to return these properties to productive use. Historically, industrial facilities were often idled during economic downturns in anticipation of future production. Some never reopened and were dismantled with inconsistent attention to site restoration, material recycling, or salvage. Environmental conditions were often overlooked during shutdowns, prompting the development of modern regulations to guide proper closure and remediation. Today, there is growing interest in repurposing remediated brownfield sites rather than developing untouched greenfields. By leveraging best practices and key services refined over decades, Trihydro helps clients reduce environmental liabilities and confidently transform legacy sites into compliant, functional assets.

Environmental Permitting and Compliance

Permitting and Compliance

With decades of expertise, Trihydro helps clients secure environmental permits across federal, state, and local frameworks while supporting environmental compliance. Our team understands the permitting processes under key laws such as the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act, enabling us to anticipate challenges, streamline applications, and effectively engage with regulatory agencies. Beyond environmental permitting, Trihydro develops and implements tailored environmental compliance management programs to meet environmental regulatory obligations. This includes monitoring, reporting, auditing, and training supported by our multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and regulatory experts. Whether addressing air emissions, water discharges, waste protocols, or site remediation, our proactive, integrated approach helps clients minimize risk, maintain operational continuity, and align with environmental goals.

Waste Management

Waste Management

Founded in 1984, Trihydro offers comprehensive waste management services to both municipal and private clients. We assist them in expanding their waste management operations while ensuring ongoing compliance with evolving state and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Subtitle C and D regulations. Our comprehensive expertise covers the spectrum of solid and hazardous waste management needs from initiation of planning, permitting, and design to construction oversight and ongoing compliance support. As part of a landfill’s lifecycle, Trihydro also supports closure and remediation of solid and hazardous waste facilities, including using passive approaches to minimize long-term carrying costs. Our civil and environmental engineers have serviced diverse waste management facilities, such as transfer stations, landfills, corrective action management units, compost facilities, evaporation ponds, and recycling centers. Additionally, we offer specialized Underground Injection Control (UIC) permitting and monitoring services for waste handling facilities.
