Sara Duenas: Little League Baseball, Signal Hill, CA

“I am currently taking my talents as an Administrative Assistant to the ball park. I am a board member for
the North Torrance Little League. My responsibility is to register all the children each season and help
new parents become acquainted with our baseball community. I currently serve on a special
board along with other members of my league and the North Torrance Girls Softball
League to save the fields our community has been playing on for over 50 years.”

Shane Glassburn: St. Thomas Episcopal Church/ Elks Lodge/ Boy

Scouts of America, Laramie, WY

“In my off time I’m a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and help maintain the
buildings and volunteer for different projects there. I’m a member of 4 parts of the Odd
Fellows where funds from the groups not only get used for assistance for projects on a local
scale but also global. I’m an officer in the local Elks Lodge where we assist with collecting animal hides for
making gloves for Disabled Veterans, but also collecting Christmas presents for kids, the Elks Hoop Shoot
for kids, and Elks Soccer Shoot. I’m also a Scoutmaster and Cubmaster for the Elks Cub Scout Pack and Boy
Scout Troop.”

Justin Waller: High School Wrestling, Signal Hill, CA

“I am a volunteer assistant coach (for the last four years) for the Cypress High
School Wrestling Team. I used to be a wrestler on the team, and the current head
coach was also my head coach. My coach was a great mentor to me, and I feel
like it is my chance to be a mentor for the new team members.”
