15th Street Reconstruction
Trihydro partnered with the City of Laramie to revamp a heavily used transit route that had experienced significant deterioration. The 15th Street Reconstruction Project improved pavement conditions on 15th Street from Grand Avenue south through the Sheridan Street intersection in Laramie, Wyoming. As a heavily used transit route for buses and other essential daily traffic, this section of 15th Street had become degraded.
Trihydro provided supplemental topographic and planimetric surveys for mapping preparation, designed pavement section replacement for about 1,400 linear feet of urban street, and identified curb and gutter sections for replacement. Our engineers performed site visits and prepared a Reconstruction Evaluation Technical Memorandum, which included our analysis of the existing site conditions, recommendations for curb and gutter replacement limits, and a proposed surfacing section.
Trihydro also undertook Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramp evaluation, configuration, and design. We analyzed the compliance of existing ADA ramps with current regulations. Our team provided recommendations to address problems with existing ADA ramp locations associated with the offset cross streets along the alignment and developed a traffic control plan for guidance during bidding and construction. Our Reconstruction Evaluation Technical Memorandum included a curb ramp ADA compliance assessment and recommended curb ramp configurations based on the curb ramp configuration and pedestrian/traffic control assessment.
Trihydro also provided bidding services, construction administration, part-time construction monitoring, and reporting for the 15th Street Reconstruction Project. This project, which we completed on time and within budget, successfully addressed pavement conditions and pedestrian and ADA safety issues associated with crossing this busy street.
