Training: Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) and Appendix K Compliance

8 hours

Trihydro’s Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) training program is specifically designed for Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) teams and environmental professionals responsible for air quality compliance in the oil and natural gas industry.

Our courses are led by highly experienced and certified thermographers who are designated as Senior OGI Operators under 40 CFR Part 60 Appendix K and bring thousands of hours of real-world OGI field experience to the classroom.

Training is customized to your operational setting, whether at well sites, compressor stations, or refineries, and incorporates equipment-specific techniques alongside the latest regulatory and industry best practices. The program satisfies the “classroom training” requirements outlined in Appendix K.

Participants receive hands-on instruction covering key OGI competencies:

  • Thermal science principles
  • OGI camera operation and thermography fundamentals
  • Effective leak detection and identification techniques
  • Industry-standard procedures and best practices
  • Regulatory compliance requirements and guidelines
  • Health, safety, and risk management

We offer flexible, private on-site sessions tailored to your team size, equipment, and operational needs. The standard course is delivered in a single day and combines classroom instruction with practical field exercises to build operational proficiency.
