Trihydro has managed environmental remediation projects in Ohio and nationwide since 1984, offering technical and regulatory services on thousands of projects, including some of the nation's most complex sites. We guide our clients through the environmental remediation process from initial “big picture” remediation strategy development to implementation and then to remediation process optimization and site closure. Trihydro’s environmental and management professionals routinely perform environmental site assessments (ESA), brownfields redevelopment, leaking underground storage tank removal, investigation and remediation (LUST), remediation and oversight, and litigation support/expert technical analysis for soil, groundwater, and soil-vapor/indoor air throughout the tri-state region of Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana and across the United States.

Environmental remediation is often subject to stringent regulations, and a comprehensive understanding of the applicable regulatory landscapes can dramatically improve project outcomes and cost-effectiveness. Our regulatory specialists have Ohio-specific knowledge of current and forthcoming regulations and are available to advocate on behalf of site owners and operators' remediation goals. The Trihydro team has established strong working relationships with the USEPA, BUSTR, the Ohio EPA, and the Petroleum Underground Storage Tank Release Compensation Board (PUSTRCB) allowing us to close out difficult sites with residual contamination.

In Ohio, Trihydro’s staff obtained the first BUSTR-issued No Further Action (NFA) with free product in place under the 2012 Corrective Action (CA) Rules, saving our client over $300,000 in potential insurance claims. We have also worked with USEPA Region V to prepare and implement three major self-directed PCB cleanup projects at Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) and at other, confidential, locations. Additionally, under the joint jurisdiction of Region V of the USEPA and the Ohio EPA, Trihydro’s Cincinnati office manages one of the largest brownfields sites in Ohio, the former Cincinnati Refinery. Since 2004, Trihydro has submitted more than 350 reports to the USEPA and the Ohio EPA.
