District Engineering and Infrastructure Support

Travis County Water Control and Improvement District Point Venture
Texas

Since 2007, Trihydro has served as District Engineer for the Travis County Water Control and Improvement District Point Venture (District), providing ongoing engineering support for its water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and drainage infrastructure.

Trihydro serves as an extension of the District, providing engineering resources for both day-to-day needs and long-term infrastructure planning. Services include responding to engineering inquiries, reviewing developer projects for compliance with District specifications, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations, and Village of Point Venture ordinances, evaluating system needs, pursuing funding, and planning capital improvements.

Infrastructure Planning, Design, and Construction Support

Trihydro supports District infrastructure projects from planning through implementation. Services include master planning, surveying, design, environmental permitting, funding and bond support, project management, bidding, construction administration, observation, monitoring, and reporting. This ongoing role provides continuity across projects and gives the District access to engineering resources as infrastructure needs evolve.

Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Improvements

Trihydro’s work for the District includes water and wastewater system planning, capacity improvements, treatment facility design, and infrastructure rehabilitation.

Trihydro has helped expand water treatment capacity from 0.5 to 1.0 million gallons per day (MGD) and increase clearwell storage from 96,000 to 221,000 gallons. The team has also developed a hydraulic model and water system master plan to evaluate infrastructure needs and prioritize future improvements.

Other examples include the design of a new 0.15-MGD wastewater treatment facility and related improvements as part of an approximately $11.2 million construction program, lift station rehabilitation, and engineering evaluations and bond-support documentation for water, wastewater, reclaimed-water, and drainage improvements. One bond authorization effort identified approximately $12.5 million in estimated construction costs and $13.6 million in total authorization needs for planned improvements.

Long-Term District Engineering Support

Through its long-term District Engineer role, Trihydro helps the District connect ongoing engineering needs with infrastructure planning, funding, design, and construction, providing a consistent engineering resource as priorities and projects change over time.
