Letter From Jack

When we launched Trihydro’s Sustainability Program in 2009, we were primarily focused on minimizing our
environmental footprint. The program included establishing an in-house Sustainability Initiative Committee to evaluate
resource consumption, green-house gas emissions, and waste reductions. As a provider of environmental solutions, this
was familiar territory for us and our program took off with ease.

It didn’t take long, however, to realize that we wanted to make sustainability about more than just minimizing our
impact on the environment. We wanted to build on our company culture and emphasize our commitment to social
responsibility and wellbeing. Therefore, we committed to “not resting on our laurels” and chose four areas for business
improvement beyond the parameters of traditional sustainability: environment, yes, but also communication,
        community, and vision.

We are not the only ones that view sustainability as more than just reducing our environmental impact. These days,
many corporations pursue initiatives to assess and take responsibility for their effects on environmental and social
wellbeing. We are very proud of our company, culture and accomplishments, as well as being part of a business
community who cares deeply about its employees and the communities it serves.

When we stopped to reflect on Trihydro’s history, we realized caring for employees and social responsibility had always
been a part of our operations. As a company, Trihydro adopted the Code of the West in 2006 as a set of 10 guiding
principles by which we strive to work and live. Each year, our employees nominate colleagues that embody each of the
“Codes” – you can find the winners on the following pages.

In 2017, we added an 11th principle, one that I have adopted in my own life, and which appears as a theme in our
past Sustainability Reports: “Leave it better than you found it”. This year, the employee nominated for embodying this
mantra is Dan Aneiros. His nomination was accompanied by a heartfelt accolade by his colleagues.

I am very pleased to share with you our 2016 - 2017 Sustainability Report, which I believe showcases what corporate
social responsibility and leaving our world better than we found it means to all of us at Trihydro.

                           Trihydro Corporation

P.S. Thank you to the Sustainability Committee and team that assembled this great report. Well done!
