What initially attracted you to Trihydro?
I came out to Wyoming for my geology field camp and fell in love with the state knowing that I had to get back out west one day. When I interviewed for the position in Trihydros’ Cheyenne location and saw how close-knit everyone was, I knew I wanted to be a part of the company.

What do you do at Trihydro?
I am a staff geologist working in the petroleum and petrochemical services group. I mainly work at the refinery in Cheyenne sampling and installing groundwater monitoring wells, collecting soil samples, assisting with maintaining the operations and monitoring system, and writing all applicable reports for our sampling events.

What do you like best about working at Trihydro?
I really enjoy the open-door policy here. It allows for better relationships between co-workers and helps to provide a family-like work environment.

What is your favorite type of project to work on and why?
Any project that allows you to work with a new type of technology. It leads to learning something new as well as understanding and appreciating a different way to complete a task. Trihydro is great at getting their employees exposed to new and challenging projects like this.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a professional skateboarder, however, once I got more involved in school, I knew I wanted to be a scientist of some sort.

When did you know you wanted to be a geologist – how did your passion for your career start?
When I was a freshman in college, I was originally a microbiology major. I took an oceanography class and realized that I liked that type of coursework better.  Once I found out that oceanography fell into our schools’ geology program, I switched majors and never looked back.

What is a fun fact about you?
I used to play piano and saxophone when I was younger.  Now I am professional natural bodybuilder.

What other Trihydro benefits/programs do you find most useful or utilize the most?
I think the Wellness Reimbursement Program is awesome.  Also, the Flex Program gives a great incentive to work hard and bank hours to be able to take time off.  Helps maintain a great work/life balance.
