Describe your most interesting or exciting day and/or experience on the job.
I think fiscal year-end is the most interesting part of benefits and payroll. There are so many functions all happening at once. We have a wonderful collaboration with our finance team to accomplish a large amount of financial processing in a small window of time.

The ability to continuously grow professionally.
What is your favorite type of project to work on and why?
Problem solving. Sometimes it’s assisting an employee with a payroll or benefits issue. Sometimes it’s as simple as finding and correcting a reconciliation error. Knowing that you made it right is rewarding.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a veterinarian.
When did you know you wanted to be an accountant – how did your passion for your career start?
I started at Trihydro in Accounts Payable. When the Payroll position became available, I was excited to transition into a new role with more challenges.
What is a fun fact about you?
Straight out of college, I put my career on hold for 10 years to raise my children, and I operated a daycare from my home during that time. I miss nap time the most.

I love the flex time policy, and the ability to balance my home life with my career. As a Mom of three very active kids, my work-life balance is a top priority.
