Nearly 5.8 million traffic accidents occur every year. Connected vehicle technology has the power to considerably reduce the number of traffic incidents, save lives, and enhance traffic flow. The benefits of connected vehicle technology are substantial, but the cost to adopt it is often seen as prohibitive.
Trihydro offers connected vehicle software solutions that help departments of transportation (DOTs) and smart cities use existing infrastructure to take advantage of connected vehicle messaging, without the major price tag. Trihydro has spearheaded connected vehicle initiatives for DOTs, including serving as the technical and application development lead on the Wyoming DOT Connected Vehicle Pilot project. We develop new connected vehicle applications that provide traveler information messages (TIMs) on adverse weather conditions, speed limits, work zones, and even parking availability.
