Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of contaminants of emerging concern gaining increased public interest, regulation, and litigation. Concerns have been raised due to the detections in water supplies, groundwater, air, biosolids, rainwater, fish and other foods, consumer products, and human blood. This seminar provides attendees with the latest information on PFAS developments.
What We’ll Cover:
- Latest updates on what we know about PFAS.
- Current and upcoming federal regulations for water, waste, biosolids, and contaminated sites.
- State of Oklahoma regulations and perspectives.
- Legal aspects surrounding PFAS, including litigation and liability concerns.
- Established and potential human health impacts of PFAS exposure.
- Ecological and environmental risks associated with PFAS contamination.
- Effective and practical remediation technologies and strategies for treating PFAS contamination.
- New approaches for PFAS removal and destruction.
- Research related to PFAS presence and management in biosolids.
- Advances in water and wastewater treatment for PFAS removal.
- Efficient methods/options for PFAS characterization and compliance monitoring.
We will have subject matter experts from various fields, including industry, academia, law, technology, laboratories, and more.
