PROJECT OVERVIEW

Trihydro provided multi-state permitting and regulatory support for Legion Engineering’s fiber optic projects. Our efforts included agency coordination, permit preparation, and environmental reviews to promote efficient and compliant project execution.

Trihydro has provided extensive permitting and regulatory compliance support for Legion Engineering and its broadband partners across a range of large-scale fiber optic installation projects spanning multiple states and jurisdictions.

Our work has included identifying and interpreting applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, coordinating with regulators to obtain approvals, and developing a user-friendly permit matrix that integrates geospatial data to streamline compliance and environmental review.

We have reviewed and analyzed hundreds of miles of fiber line corridors to find the most efficient route with the fewest environmental constraints. Using GIS, aerial imagery, geospatial data, and information from state and federal databases, our team identified environmentally sensitive areas requiring further analysis and coordination with the appropriate regulatory agencies.

Trihydro’s team facilitated early coordination with regulatory agencies, including the US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, State Historic Preservation Offices, and various state departments of environmental management and natural resources to identify applicable permitting requirements and approvals.

We supported the preparation and submittal of required permits under the Clean Water Act, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System programs, and state-specific requirements for wetlands, floodplains, and protected species. We also coordinated environmental reviews, stormwater management plans, and cultural resource compliance as triggered by project-specific conditions.

By using spatially linked permit tracking and ongoing agency coordination, Trihydro has helped Legion Engineering’s fiber projects proceed quickly and in compliance with applicable environmental regulations.
